 Join EWELH for a transformative empowerment experience inspired by Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, reimagined through the lens of faith, sisterhood, and self-discovery.

Through powerful reflection, Scripture-based guidance, and interactive discussion, participants will learn how to take ownership of their purpose, prioritize what matters most, and walk boldly in strength and grace.


Each session fosters renewal, community, and spiritual growth—equipping women to live intentionally, lead confidently, and empower others to do the same.

Shirley Austin is a woman whose life is rooted in service and purpose. She earned her BSW in Social Work from Oakwood University, became a licensed Social Worker, and served the State of Alabama for nearly a decade. She later completed her Master of Education with a focus on Community Relations.

Though deeply committed to her work, Shirley felt a higher calling, one that required courage, faith, and a leap into her true purpose. She transitioned from her career to fully pursue her passion for guiding and empowering others.

From a young age, Shirley recognized her gift for helping people grow. Today, she is dedicated to becoming the best version of herself while leading others to do the same, always with the belief that every life has a divine purpose.

Docquinn Taylor is an accomplished educator and leader with over 17 years of experience in education, literacy, adult learning, and program management. She currently serves as a Language & Literacy Facilitator and Client Success Specialist at CORE, Inc., and has previously directed adult education programs and developed workforce initiatives designed to expand opportunities for learners of all backgrounds.

Deeply committed to service, Docquinn has spent many years mentoring young women, guiding, encouraging, and equipping them to pursue their goals with confidence and purpose. This dedication reflects her lifelong passion for empowerment through education, personal growth, and faith.

As a member of EWELH’s Advisory Board and former Vice Chair, Docquinn provides strategic guidance in operational strategy, organizational development, and mentorship. Through her professional expertise, board service, and community leadership, Dr. Taylor embodies EWELH’s mission to empower women, foster resilience, and create pathways for long-term success.

Nia Hunt is a nonprofit leader, community development advocate, and purpose-driven strategist committed to serving people with excellence, compassion, and faith. She currently serves as Executive Assistant at CFAR Counseling Center. 

In addition to Executive Administrator and Community Development Liaison at House of Glory Philadelphia, where she oversees operations, donor engagement, event planning, and key

initiatives that serve hundreds of families each year. Nia is the author of Dancing In His Garden, a devotional workbook that invites readers into deeper intimacy with God and a return to their divine purpose which is to worship God. She holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with

a minor in Leadership and Global Understanding from La Salle University.

Her education, combined with her lived experiences, reflects a lifelong commitment to advancing equitable access, fostering community-driven change, and creating pathways for personal and professional growth. Above all, Nia is most grateful for the “reset button” that God gives each day—another chance to walk in His calling. 

Her beginnings have shaped her now and are preparing her for what’s next: continuing to empower others, strengthen communities, and live out her purpose with faith, excellence, and selflessness.

Toni Collier is the founder of a global women’s organization called Broken Crayons Still Color and helps women process through brokenness and get to healing and hope. Toni is a speaker, host of the Still Coloring podcast, and author of several books: Don't Try This Alone, Brave Enough to be Broken, and a children's book, Broken Crayons Still Color. Toni has had the opportunity to proudly stand on stages for North Point Community Church, Chick-fil-A, IF:Gathering, Orange Conference, There{4} Teen Gathering, and MomCon, and she is a regular guest on TBN’s TV program for women, “Better Together.” 

Toni kills illusions. She confronts the hard things. She believes the best way to meet life’s challenges is head-on. And, in this digital age of anxiety, Toni is teaching people all over the globe that you can be broken and still worthy, or feel unqualified and still be called to do great things. Toni wants to help you find a way through the brokenness in your life so that you can live the most colorful life possible.

    2023 GALA: An Evening of Elegance

    This enchanting event took place on Sunday, Dec 17, 2023, at the Hilton Atlanta Downtown. The evening was hosted by  Jonathan Slocumb, who is known for his comedic talents, and has been featured on Tyler Perry's hit show "Meet the Browns" and ABC's show "The Wonder Years." 


    As the audience indulged delectable cuisine, they were  entertained by Remey Williams, who has worked with Summer Walker, Jacob Latimore, and India Shawn.
